Does anybody have any info on this image? I searched the parent domain for clues and nothing.

Maybe we will find out in the next few days?

Here is a pretty useful time calculator by American Express. (scroll to the bottom of the page) It is useful to see what time is the best time to call loved ones overseas or if you want to know if the jerk that sent you the wrong earphones from in China (but is actually in Australia, I ask you, “WTF?”) has had time to respond to your angry email.

A few months ago I wrote Nettwerk a letter telling them how much I appreciated and respected the way they took on the defense costs of the Gruebel family in their lawsuit brought against them by the RIAA. This was there response.
Hi Mason,
Thank you so much for your support of Nettwerk in our backing of the Gruebel family. Your message is very important to us, as it confirms that we are truly acting on behalf of music fans! It is our belief that the RIAA’s litigation policy has no upside: it chases fans even further underground and undermines the importance of file sharers. More importantly – litigation is destructive and ruins lives.
We invite you to explore our website:http://www.savethemusicfan.com to further show your support and to share your thoughts on this matter.
Sincerely,
Christina, on behalf of The Nettwerk Music Group

I encourage everyone to go out an buy a Nettwerk release of some sort, any label that is willing to support us like this deserves it right back. Here is a little interview with CEO, Terry McBride.
At the time of this posting, savethemusicfan.com was down, so I don’t know what is actually there.

From The Dears’ MySpace blog:
Bella Union, The Dears’ European label, is offering a free download of a new song by The Dears entitled ‘There Goes My Outfit’.
This track is a brand new demo that was recorded just a few weeks ago with Murray on acoustic guitar and vocals. It’s a little taster of the full band version which is currently destined to appear on The Dears’ next full length album set for release later this year.
It can be found here:

At Daring Fireball there is a little article confirming my reasons for thinking that Think Secret is absolute garbage. If I want Apple rumors, I read AppleInsider, who seem to have more reliable sources and more strict editorial standards.

Damnit, Why can’t anyone just email me any more? I have messages waiting at MySpace, but I can’t read them because the bloody site is down. Grrrrrr….

From the Warp Records mailing list:
Jamie is on a journey to superstar status in the Netherlands!
Multiply was a Top 40 single in the hit parade after huge daytime support on national radio and last week he appeared live on TV with premier Dutch chat show host, Raymann Islaat. A new single, Whats The Use? will be released on 10th March. Big up Holland; you know!

There have got to be a thousand more useful ways for me to spend my money, but the other day I bought myself a new iPod. I had one before, one that E sold to me for a pittance which I then promptly dropped and broke. Good work. Not wanting to repeat my mistakes I am now looking for a case to protect the new one. eBay has proven to be a waste of time, lacking anything of quality or character. Lots and lots of third rate silicon shells to make it look like a sex toy, shitty leather things that look like they should be on sale at Stitches and aluminum crap that will probably scratch the shit out of the thing.
Many wasted hours on Google have given me these contenders:
- Moshi offers a nice one, but not enough shock protection if I drop it.
- Fredflare is selling an Incase one that looks like a cassette tape, and comes with a cute model.
- The Das Blau Versa is very nice, I am specifically partial to the Momiji, but it is $100 after taxes. Almost twice what I want to spend. I have a feeling I am eventually going to be swayed if I keep going back to the website.

Still haven’t decided, I guess I am stuck with the velour envelope that came with it for now.
Other things I have found in my searches…
Manybooks offers many books for free in iPod notes format. (amongst others) You may not want to load many books onto your iPod at one time though, because every time you want to read one, you have to load all of them into memory. Lame.
MyPodSack sounds dirty, but it really isn’t. It is a funny little dock that looks like a beanbag chair. Cute.
Podtropolis. Actually found by E, as usual, it is a great place to get torrents of iPod ready video files. Look to be pretty useful, although season one of The Office seemed to be done wrong, because the iPod won’t accept them. I am currently re-encoding them.
Video Podcasts are pretty kick ass too. I have subscribed to a few including Coolhunting, Happy Tree Friends, Vintage ToonCast and il Luster‘s animation podcast. hmm… while doing searches for the links in this paragraph I see that the Suicide Girls have a video podcast too. Sign me up.
Last but not least, here is the video for Planet Earth by Duran Duran. Simply because after watching it, I have decided that it is my favorite music video ever. Check out that wicked use of matte painting.
You said.
