Hotel Fox

Mannequinesmom

There are things I just don’t need to know about. Once I do, I just can’t help but infect everyone else about me with the knowledge that there are things on this earth they just can’t understand. Mannequinesmom is one of them.

The Scarlet Letters Notes on Making Art

I often defeat myself before I get anywhere when in comes to making anything creative. Recording music, visual arts, design, whathaveyou. Here is some great advice that although presented in 10 points, could probably be summed up in 6 or 7. They are all worthwhile regardless.

Do NOT mix generating and editing. When you’re making a piece, don’t stop and get judgmental half-way through. If it’s a piece of crap, get that piece of crap out of your system — don’t try to fix it mid-flow. Finish it, move on.
