My Own Biggest Fan

Izzum has started an mp3 blog where most of the usual suspects are giving you their musical pics for download.

Selections may be skint at the moment, because last time I checked I was the only one who had posted, but they all promise me that they will be diligent little bloggers. They are for the most part inexperienced in this sort of thing, so go there, leave comments, and encourage them.

Now this is a good reason to learn how to solder. There is a new book that explains how to make an Apple I. It would do me no real good, because I don’t have the programming skills necessary to use the damn thing, but it would be cool to have, and I might learn something in the process, or I could just buy the damn thing.

Hunter S. Thompson, the maverick journalist and author whose savage chronicling of the underbelly of American life and politics embodied a new kind of nonfiction writing he called “gonzo journalism,” died yesterday in Colorado. Tricia Louthis, of the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office, said Mr. Thompson had died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Woody Creek, Colo., yesterday afternoon. He was 65.

The combination of crazy low depth of field and wide angle lens makes everything look miniature and hyper-real. It make me feel the same way that I get when I listen to music, with headphones, with the lights out, like I am either very, very large or small. Everything is without scale references.

Damn, this television show was just MADE for MissAnya. I don’t know what to think about this, but none of my initial thoughts are positive.
