Well that is just the obvious. Don’t you find it a bit disheartening that large parts of Oregon (liberal haven, or is that just Portland?), California, New York, Michigan etc… vote for the most part Republican? So here we have a division between rural and urban. Are the rural just out to lunch? What about large parts of Alabama, where the blacks have basically been fucked, and continue to be fucked, courtesy the Republicans. Are those who only live in metropolitan areas the enlightened ones?

True enough. The American Political climate is hard enough for me to wrap my head around, let alone try and figure out the truly perplexing bits that you have pointed out.

On a side note, I would love to give Alberta to The United States of Texus if they want it.
