It seems everybody is going nuts over the last Outcast joint or The Grey Album. And yeah, I guess that’s alright, but if you want real street-level hip-hop you have to do a little bit of work. Luckily today I have done the work for you. Let me introduce you to Kamal.
This shit is hot.
You might think, “yeah this is just another half assed wack-mc, trying to make it big with music.” This is where you are wrong, Kamal lays down the beats AND the rhymes. One man show, this. Buck 65 can go back to his Tom Waits records because he has no idea what hip-hop is all about.
He has both instrumentals and singles for download. And when my man blows up like I know he will, tell them Mason was down before anyone.
I can appreciate that he does it all himself but the music just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe I should give it another listen.
Okay, I just watched the video for “Checkin’ You Out”. That shit is hot. Best line:
